I’m super happy to have four amazing lady on the blog today, to kick start their blog tour! A Vampire For Christmas released on October 18th, and imma let the girls tell you a bit more about it
-----------------------
Thanks, Tynga, for hosting us for the #VampXmas blog tour. Hello, everyone!
The anthology, A VAMPIRE FOR CHRISTMAS, was just released in print (digital available 11/1), and all four authors are here today, answering the same question. Stay tuned at the end for a chance to win a cool prize package.
Tell us about the hero of your short story in the anthology A VAMPIRE FOR CHRISTMAS?
Alexis Morgan:
Eagan McHale is a vampire and an undercover cop investigating the disappearance of teenagers on the streets of Seattle. He suspects they’re being rounded up like cattle by someone who isn’t human. Eagan routinely lies to the people he meets about who he is, but more importantly about what he is. He’s a man of secrets and likes it that way. He doesn’t have time for Christmas and he sure doesn’t have time for romance. That lasts until he steps across the threshold of Della Breit’s diner and he finds himself caught up in the spirit of Christmas and the gift of love that it brings.

Laurie London:
Former Guardian Trace Westfalen has always put duty first. Ever since he was a boy, he’d been groomed to take over his father’s seat on the Governing Council, an organization that oversees legal vampire activities. When his father died, Trace expected his appointment to the Council to be just a formality…until raven-haired beauty, Charlotte Grant, walks into his life and turns his world upside down.

Caridad Pineiro:
Damien, the vampire hero in WHEN HERALD ANGELS SING, is a sea captain who was turned during a drunken brawl in the 1800s. He had already been in the sights of the Archangels who had sent a guardian angel to watch over him because they had seen the goodness of his soul despite his errant ways. He had also been in Satan’s sights because when Damien was bad, he was very very bad. When the guardian angel fails in her task and is killed during the brawl, the stage is set for her return visits to the hero as well as for the battle for Damien’s soul.

Michele Hauf:
Daniel Harrison is a vampire, but has only been one a short while and he's still adjusting to the whole 'creature' thing. He doesn't think very highly of himself because of that, so really needs a lift, or at least, someone who can show him what an amazing guy he is. His integrity really shows through though, as he's intent on rescuing an innocent from the same fate he fell into.

Favorite hero in a holiday movie has always been Santa Claus. he may not be the super hero most people think about but I love watching Santa movies where he saves the day. What more could you ask for in a hero.
ReplyDeletemiztik_rose@yahoo.com
mine would be macauley culkin in the first two home alone movies he always catches the bad guys :) love those movies.
ReplyDeletecandice[dot]debney[at]gmail[dot]com
Oh wow, that's a hard question. I do not watch a ton of holiday movies and more are comedies. So "heroes" are harder to pick out. The first that comes to mind in the Grinch :)
ReplyDeleteHm ... favourite hero ... probably the laywer (played by icy eyed Dylan McDermot) in the remake of a Miracle on 34th street. I just loved how he took to the belief of Santa - and his digged pursuit of Elizabeth Perkins. So well done, Dylan!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Anthology sounds AWESOME!

I have to agree with Ammy Belle - definitely Dylan McDermott's lawyer in Miracle on 34th Street. So cute!

It's weird that I love holiday paranormal stories but am not a big Christmas movie fan.
ReplyDeleteI do watch The Holiday every Christmas Eve though so I'm going to strangely enough admit to adoring Jude Law's character, the single father, in that one. It's just a great romantic Christmas movie anyway. :)
I have this book pre-ordered for months now, and only for the Alexis Morgan story (sorry other ladies). But Alexis, does this one not take place in the Paladin world?
ReplyDeleteMy favourite hero in a christmas movie? Wow, what a tough question! I do love the Home Alone movies, so Macauley something (really, no idea how to spell his name!)

I'd have to say one of my favorite heroes in a holiday movie would be a toss up between the Grinch (Dr. Seuss version) and Will Ferrell in Elf. "He's an angry elf." (As Peter Dinklage lunges at him across the table.)
ReplyDeleteTough question for me too, don't watch a lot of Holiday movies but ones we always do watch is Charlie Brown Christmas and the Grinch. Ooh and The Polar Express. I would say my hero is the Tom Hanks character on Polar express.
ReplyDeleteBluesun1218@dishmail.net
Home Alone remains my favorite holiday movie, especially the first and second. He's a young hero but he's cheeky, smart and very resourceful!
ReplyDeleteI love all the Scrooge movies and I love Die Hard but Alan Rickman's hot bad guy is way more interesting to look at than Bruce Willis' good guy hero :)
ReplyDeleteirgl7(at)bonzo15(dot)plus(dot)com
I think my all-time favorite Christmas character in a movie was Dudly the angel in the movie The Bishop's Wife (older version). I would so enjoy knowing someone like him. And I would have given anything to be Julia in that skating scene with him and Sylvester.

Hugh Grant's character in Love Actually.
ReplyDeleteSkk25@aol.com
I can't remember the boy's name in the movie Christmas Shoes. He was so bent into getting shoes for his dying mother. It was a beautifully, sad story.
ReplyDeleteI love the old It's a Wonderful Life...Not sure if it's Clarance or Goerge that ends up being the hero though!
ReplyDeleteI'd pick John McClane, Bruce Willis' character in Die Hard, because he's smart, sarcastic, and kicks serious butt against a pretty evil bad guy.
ReplyDeleteI love the grinch!!
ReplyDeleteThe Grinch!!
ReplyDeleteI love the Grinch. I watch it with my son every year. Someone else said Bruce Willis from the Die Hard movies. I love that one also. I get to watch them alot because thanks to my husband. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleterachaelmccully@yahoo.com
That really is a hard one as I don't watch movies. Even when I was growing up we didn't watch any holiday movies as we didn't do x-mas.
ReplyDeleteClark Griswold in CHRISTMAS VACATION, just for being laugh out loud funny.

My favorite Holliday hero is John McClane in the Die Hard movies. I love action movies!

I like Bruce Willis in Die Hard and the kid in Home Alone. Please enter me in contest. I would love to read this book. I love reading above vampires. Tore923@aol.com
ReplyDeleteFrom an old black and white move called "The Bishop's Wife' starring Cary Grant and Loretta Young. Cary Grant plays an Angel. He had such charisma and was really a hero to me. They remade it much later into "The Preacher's Wife" with Denzel Washington and Whitney Houston.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance. GFC name is Lucky47

John McClain in Die Hard. He will do absolutely anything to save his wife.

I loved The Nightmare Before Christmas, but I can't remember the skeltons name!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite hero in a holiday movie would be Santa Claus in a Miracle on 34th St. I am a sucker for happy endings!!!
ReplyDeletemandaespi at gmail dot com
Every year I watch The Holiday Inn and I love Bing Crosby's character in that, although I can't for the life of me remember his name!
ReplyDeleteThanks for an awesome giveaway!

My favorite is The Muppets Christmas Carol. LOL! Love watching that over and over.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite hero in a holiday movie is Jack Skellington from the Nightmare Before Christmas because he had such a curiosity and innocence about him-and he saved Christmas :)
ReplyDeletemljfoland AT hotmail DOT com
Of course my favorite hero is Maculey Culken {forgive the spelling} in Home Alone, he was just so funny and cute!!
ReplyDeleteI have to say my favorite Christmas movie is It's a Wonderful Life and I love Jimmy Stewart's character. How selfless he was in life to make the best for others.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this giveaway!

Ollie aka DarkBloodyVamp
My favorite is a christmas carol. It takes a hero to go through all that and change your entire self.
ReplyDeleteI also love Bruce Willis from the Die Hard movies I love watching them! I love how he always saves the day! Thank you for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteGeorge Bailey is my favorite hero in a holiday movie.
ReplyDeletethat's a hard question... I think it'd be any nice character played by a facinating actor :P
ReplyDeleteanyway, congrats on release of your book :D
I love vampire stories
thank you for giveaway!! <3
My favorite hero in a Christmas movie is Buddy the elf from the movie Elf. I know he dosnt save Christmas in an obvious way, but in a more subtle way he gets the whole world to believe in Santa Claus again, and saves Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI feel like so many people have turned into scrooges these days and we all need to rembrace the Christmas spirit, in this movie, buddy makes that happen.
I love his care free positive attitude, it reminds me of when I was a child. This movie always makes me laugh and smile.

I would definitely say the Grinch - because he is so duplicitous! hahah plus its Dr Seuss and that cannot be beaten! He robs them all and returns it all - yes yes - definitely the Grinch (the man tried to say Rudolph - bah)
