In other words, no matter the shape or form your book has – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.

I got these two audiobooks from Libby this week, I actually already had Blind Date with a Werewolf on my kindle and Leave Me Behind as a special edition lol but my focus has been shit lately, and audiobook is all that works right now, so we adapt!

In the #1 New York Times bestselling Mercy Thompson novels, the coyote shapeshifter has found her voice in the werewolf pack. But when Mercy's bond with the pack and her mate is broken, she'll learn what it truly means to be alone...

Attacked and abducted in her home territory, Mercy finds herself in the clutches of the most powerful vampire in the world, taken as a weapon to use against alpha werewolf Adam and the ruler of the Tri-Cities vampires. In coyote form, Mercy escapes only to find herself without money, without clothing, and alone in the heart of Europe...

Unable to contact Adam and the rest of the pack, Mercy has allies to find and enemies to fight, and she needs to figure out which is which. Ancient powers stir, and Mercy must be her agile best to avoid causing a war between vampires and werewolves, and between werewolves and werewolves. And in the heart of the ancient city of Prague, old ghosts rise...
For once, Mercy was minding her own business, heading to the convenience store, a necessary step to feed chocolate chip cookies to a horde of video game playing werewolves, when she got caught in a near-deadly kidnapping plot. Unconscious and very badly injured, she was hauled all the way across the Atlantic ocean, in Italy, far from everyone she knows and cut off from her pack bound. How will she get out of this one alive?

The Mercy Thompson series has been one of my favorite for years and I am happy to say this novel did not disappoint. It actually made me fall in love all over again with my favorite characters! As much as I love my heroines getting the guy of their dream along a book series, couple lives can get a bit dull around the corners so I was very happy that I would get to see Mercy, and Adam, on their own in this novel. There is just this special and desperate energy going on when you are facing extremely dangerous situations by yourself and it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.

Mercy's determination, resourcefulness, and surviving skills were at the fore-front and I truly enjoyed it. I loved her spunk and the way she built on her coyote skills in this novel. On the other hand, I loved how Adam was forced to let Mercy deal with things on her own and how he had to develop his negotiating skills in a dire situation. Honey, a character I wasn't a fan off in the past, also happily surprised me. I did not expect it from her, but she really rose to the challenge.

This novel has a very special time-line and you have to pay close attention if you don't want to be confused. Add to it narration alternating between Mercy, Adam and other important characters and you have a recipe for chaos (if you don't follow along!) or sheer genius (if you pay close attention lol). Briggs really took her story-telling skills up a notch in this installment, and I'll tell you off the bat she threw one spectacular curve-ball that made me want to re-read the novel as soon as possible.

I don't think I could ever tire of these characters and it's a shame we have to wait so long between installments. I'm already super impatient for the next novel to release! If you haven't picked up this series yet, I urge you to start with the first novel, Moon Called, and I am sure you will crave for more!

Dead Heat by Patricia Briggs

Shopping for a new horse should have been an uneventful event, but while visiting old friends of Charles, Anna and him stumble right into a fae mess. They must get involved because they targeted his friend's grandchildren, and nobody threaten children on Charles' watch.

It's been three years since the release of the previous book in the Alpha & Omega series, which is wayyyy too long if you ask me lol I love Charles and Anna and I am very happy I could finally visit them again. Briggs really has a talent for bringing a story to life, and even though I don't know a darn thing about horses, I still wanted to know which one Anna would choose in the end. Jokes aside, Dead Heat was another great installment in the series.

For unknown reasons, a fae held prisoner was released onto the world to wreck havoc. By inadvertence, he got tangled with the local alpha's family and the chase was thrilling. Anna's abilities to read and calm people and Charles fierceness work perfectly together to solve any mysteries they encounter. It's probably because Briggs' stories are always so engrossing, but her books always feel too short. I can't help but want more every time.

A & C are as amazing as ever, but one of the aspect I particularly liked was his interaction with his old friend. It was obvious he was dear to him and I felt his sorrow since he had to part from him. This story contained yet another trip to Charles' past and I always enjoy those, revealing more about the character.

The conclusion was heart-pounding and breath-taking. I loved every moment! I sincerely hope it won't take another three years before we get another Alpha & Omega book. If you haven't read Patricia Brigg's book yet, I strongly suggest you do, starting with Moon Called, the first book in this world (It's from the Mercy Thompson series).

Night Broken by Patricia Briggs

Mercy's life is never peaceful but nothing could prepare her for the hateful bitch that invaded her territory - Adam's ex-wife, Christie. Of course, she comes off as sweet as sugar, but she  is very good at manipulating people and making Mercy's life a living hell is on her menu. Her life is threatened by a stalker though, so Mercy has to endure her and for the pack's interest, she also has to pretend the situation doesn't bother her. Little did they know, Christie's stalker is much more than the woman let them believe and their lives will all be at risk.

Patricia Briggs never cease to amazed me and Night Broken was no exception. I truly enjoyed this new installment and the best compliment I can say is that even though it's the eighth book in the series, it feels just as fresh and exciting as the first one.

Briggs always find new ways to torture poor Mercy and bringing in the ex-wife, on top of two paranormal foes, was brilliant - and cruel.  We've heard of Christie before, but it was the first time she had such an exposure and I hated her right along with Mercy. She is the most hypocritical character I have ever encountered and her evil schemes and manipulating would put a check master to shame. I am just glad Mercy found a way - a pretty awesome one too-  to get back at her in the end.

Beauclaire, a fae we met in the Alpha & Omega series, is back and throwing an ultimatum at Mercy. Coyote is also back, for better or for worst. I honestly really like the latter's weird and mysterious behavior though Mercy would prefer straight answers from him. We also get to meet 3 new characters, a submissive wolf that didn't have much of a role this time around (maybe Briggs is setting the table for the next novel?), Gary, another coyote (Mercy's half brother - kind of) and Christie's stalker - a very mysterious foe. I grew very fond of Gary and I do hope we'll see more of him in the future. Maybe he will help healing Honey's wounds.

The plot was intricate as always and I truly enjoyed it, having no idea where Briggs would take us with all the different subplots. I couldn't figure out until Briggs decided to let us in, which threat was the biggest, Beauclaire or the stalker, and what was the link with the murders happening in tri-cities. I was completely hooked and read the entire novel in less than 24 hours, quite a feat for me, especially with a newborn on my hands.

The conclusion was exciting as always and I once more find myself wishing Briggs was a faster writer so I could get my hands on the next installment faster. It doesn't have a title yet, as far as I know, and is due for 2015 though no release date was announced.

If you are one of the lost souls who haven't met Mercy yet, I strongly suggest you pick up this series. It's one of my favorite urban fantasy series and I am convinced you won't be disappointed if you give it a chance.

Fair Game by Patricia Briggs

Charles & Anna are having a hard time right now. Charles can't deal with the guilt brought on by enforcing his father's new rules and his victims ghosts are literally hunting him. To try and protect Anna he shuts her out. What he doesn't know is that his desire to keep her safe might very well be the very thing that will kill her in the end.

I always love coming back to this world, may it be with Charles and Anna or with Mercy and this novel was no exception. At first, I did not realize this novel took place before Frost Burned (part of the Mercy Thompson series) and so I read the latter book first. I was a little fuzzy on a couple of details while reading it, and now that I've read Fair Game it all makes sense! It's always nice to find answers don't you think?

The dynamic between the two main characters is such an highlight of this series and they delivered once more. Charles is used to being the protector, and while he will get to do that, Anna finds herself in that role for the first time. Her beloved mate is in danger and she will step up her game to keep him sane. I loved her determination and the unique way she has to get to the otherwise impassive enforcer. I also enjoy his subtle sense of humor and secretive smirks. The pair of them is simply delicious!

Stuck in Boston to solve the case of a serial killer that remained unsolved for many decades, our heroes will be faced with an impressive challenge. The plot line remained engaging the whole time and I was hooked to Briggs' every word. In this novel, we get to meet a pair of FBI officers I particularly grew fond of and I really hope we'll see more of them. There seems to be more to Goldstein than we discovered and I have to confess, I am very curious about him.

The conclusion was breathtaking and simply shocking and it's killing me that there isn't an Alpha & Omega #4 planned as we speak. Patricia Briggs is under contract for 1 more Mercy book (Night Broken - To be released in 2014) and 1 more book in this world, but Patricia has other plans than a A&O book. I really, really hope Penguin will extend her contract and that Briggs will write another Charles & Anna book (s) because their story is far from being over. Yes, the end was satisfying for a novel, but definitely NOT for a series.

If you enjoy the Mercy Thompson series, you MUST read the Alpha and Omega series, you'll simply love it. You don't know Mercy? Than hurry my friend and get your hands on both series because you're in for quite an amazing ride!

Mercy Thompson’s life has undergone a seismic change. Becoming the mate of Adam Hauptman—the charismatic Alpha of the local werewolf pack—has made her a stepmother to his daughter Jesse, a relationship that brings moments of blissful normalcy to Mercy’s life. But on the edges of humanity, what passes for a minor mishap on an ordinary day can turn into so much more…

After an accident in bumper-to-bumper traffic, Mercy and Jesse can’t reach Adam—or anyone else in the pack for that matter. They’ve all been abducted.

Through their mating bond, all Mercy knows is that Adam is angry and in pain. With the werewolves fighting a political battle to gain acceptance from the public, Mercy fears Adam’s disappearance may be related—and that he and the pack are in serious danger. Outclassed and on her own, Mercy may be forced to seek assistance from any ally she can get, no matter how unlikely.

Mercy has always had a way to get herself into trouble, but this time around it’s her husband and mate Adam who’s in trouble, and she gets to play hero. Don’t get me wrong, playing hero isn’t easy either and Mercy gets her fair share of bumps and bruises along the way, but who would’ve thought little Coyote would be the key to save both the werewolf pack and the local vampire seethe?

The Mercy Thompson series is one of my favourites urban fantasy out there, and this instalment didn’t disappoint. My only complaint would be that it was over way too fast. I don’t know if it’s Patricia Briggs’ writing style or if the word count on her novels isn’t that high but it always feels likes it’s too short. Especially since we have to wait quite a while between releases. I’m telling you, I can’t get enough of Mercy and her friends!

This time around the plot revolves around the whole pack being kidnapped by pseudo government agents and Mercy’s quest to find and free them. She has to call on old friends to accomplish her mission and I enjoyed seeing them again. The novel is, per usual, filled with heart-pounding action and keeping-you-on-the-edge-of-your-seat suspense. I blindly followed our hero every step of the way, and didn’t quite grasp the intensity of the betrayal until the final unveiling.

Mercy’s world is really rich and entertaining  and with each book I feel like coming back home. I just love it! The lore is entertaining with werewolves, fey, witches, vampires and a single coyote involved. Each race has it knack and Mercy always does her best to walk the line and profit from each strength and trying not to make too many enemies. The ambiguity is maddening hehe.

I really like this series and I strongly suggest you give it a shot, starting with Moon Called. Frost Burned being the 7th books in the series, I can feel it coming to an end and I’m already saddened by the prospect of not visiting Mercy’s world anymore, but I’m really impatient for the next book called Night Broken.

In Cry Wolf, New York Times bestselling author Patricia Briggs started a new urban fantasy series set in the world of Mercy Thompson -- but with rules of its own. Now, read "Alpha and Omega," the novella that inspired the new series, and see how it all began...Anna Latham never knew werewolves existed, until the night she survived a violent attack... and became one herself. After three years at the bottom of the Chicago pack, she's learned to keep her head down and never,On the Prowl ever trust dominant males. But when she discovers wrongdoing in her pack, she has to go above her Alpha's head to ask for help. Charles Cornick is the son -- and enforcer -- of the leader of the North American werewolves. Now his father has sent him to Chicago to clean up a problem there. Charles never expected to find Anna, a rare Omega wolf -- and he certainly never expected to recognize her as his mate...

Anna has been ill treated like no other for the past 3 years, starting with her changing into a werewolf against her will. Trusting anyone – especially a male – is completely out of question, but when young men go missing and the authorities notices, Anna has no choice but to seek help. Charles has been sent to re-establish order in Anna’s pack, little did he know that it would turn his world upside down.

Alpha and Omega is a shot story originally published in On The Prowl anthology and takes place before Cry Wolf, book #1 of the Alpha and Omega series. Imagine my dismay when I read Cry Wolf without having read its prequel… And so I backtracked and read this story, and thank goodness, everything makes a lot more sense now!

Alpha & Omega introduced Anna and Charles the two main characters in the series, as they meet. Anna has been abused and even though she’s scared of her own shadow, she’s not broken. This strength really charms Charles the stone-cold lone wolf and he is done for the moment he meets her.

I love this series (I already read books 1 & 2) and I really appreciated witnessing their shaky beginning as a couple. It’s a really short novel, so I can’t say much without spilling the beans but even though the main plot line is about righting a wrong, the book is really centered around the romance and Anna’s abilities as an Omega – a wolf that doesn’t really have a place in wolf hierarchy. She comes off as submissive, but not even an alpha has power over her and her very presence calms everyone down.

Patricia Briggs is amongst my favourite authors and I urge you to read both the Mercy Thompson series and the Alpha and Omega series (both of which are set in the same world). For your own sake though, make sure you read this prequel before you read Cry Wolf because you’ll be as confused as I was if you don’t!

Anna Latham didn’t know how complicated life could be until she became a werewolf. And until she was mated to Charles Cornick, the son- and enforcer- of Bran, the leader of the North American werewolves, she didn’t know how dangerous it could be either...

Anna and Charles have just been enlisted to attend a summit to present Bran’s controversial proposition: that the wolves should finally reveal themselves to humans. But the most feared Alpha in Europe is dead set against the plan -- and it seems like someone else might be too. When Anna is attacked by vampires using pack magic, the kind of power only werewolves should be able to draw on, Charles and Anna must combine their talents to hunt down whoever is behind it all -- or risk losing everything…

Due to technological advances and pressure from the selected few who knows about their existence, Bran, Marrok of the US, decided to unveil the werewolves’ existence to humanity. Of course this decision affects more than the US wolves exclusively and discussions with European wolves is necessary. Charles has the strong feeling his father should not assist to this conference and manages to convince him to go in his stead. Charles was right to worry. Kidnapping attempts, murders and magic is on the menu, and not everyone will live to tell the tale.

What a great story Patricia Briggs, once again, penned for us! Hunting Ground is the second book in the Alpha & Omega series and I really like the direction it’s taking. This time around, Charles and Anna find themselves in Seattle amongst a delegation of alpha wolves from all over Europe and as if getting them to play nice wasn’t hard enough, Anna’s omega status draws in a lot of attention, and not only the positive kind. Due to her past, being surrounded by males is hard for Anna, and to have so many powerful ones in a room is dire, but her growth in this book was extremely satisfying and, kudos to Briggs, believable.

Action-packed pretty much from the get go, Hunting Ground was a fast and furious read. The plot was intricate and multiple violent events will occur, shrouding everything with mystery. What’s the link between the events? Are there multiple culprit? Who’s behind all this scheming? Who can our heroes trust? Patricia did an amazing job keeping her readers on their toes until the very end and even though I had multiple possible culprit in mind, I didn’t manage to hit the bull’s eye.

Even with all the action going on, my favorite aspect of this novel was the psychological one. Both Charles and Anna have issues of their own to work through and being together, even though they love each other, is a challenge of its own. I truly enjoyed watching them dancing around, trying to find the right words and keep control of their emotions. Both of them grew tremendously in this installment and I can’t wait to see the results in the next novel.

Multiple characters were also introduced in this round and I fell for some of them. Tom and his mate Moira were amazing, Arthur’s crazy personality was loveable and his mate Sunny was the sweetest thing. Dana, one of the Fey Grey Lord was interesting, to say the least, and I enjoyed hating Chastel for all he was worth. All in all, a very interesting crew of secondary characters!

The end was a shocker for me because I hadn’t foreseen any of it. The life or death situation Briggs delivered at the end was more than enough to get your heart pounding and your palms sweating, praying for the best. I really liked every second of this book and my only complain would be that it was too short! Only 286 pages, so I hope Fair Game, third book in the series, will be longer!

Alpha and Omega series is definitely a must read for Urban Fantasy and Shifters lovers. Patricia Briggs is an amazing writer and each book is a delight!

Who are your favorite shifters?

Anna never knew werewolves existed, until the night she survived a violent attack... and became one herself. After three years at the bottom of the pack, she'd learned to keep her head down and never, ever trust dominant males. Then Charles Cornick, the enforcer- and son- of the leader of the North American werewolves, came into her life.

Charles insists that not only is Anna his mate, but she is also a rare and valued Omega wolf. And it is Anna's inner strength and calming presence that will prove invaluable as she and Charles go on the hunt in search of a rogue werewolf- a creature bound in magic so dark that it could threaten all of the pack.

Charles has been alone for so many centuries, he has lost hope of finding his mate. Thus he wasn’t prepared for his reaction when he met Anna, a young wolf who has been abused by her alpha and her pack. He must protect her at all cost and his rational side is having a hard time processing all those new emotions.

Cry Wolf is the first novel in a spin-off series of the highly popular Mercy Thompson series. The Alpha and Omega series features Charles, the son and enforcer of Bran, the Marrok (a.k.a. Alpha of all Alphas). Charles has been in the background of Mercy’s world since the beginning but he has always been a mystery, so it was really nice to finally get to discover the guy. Mercy & Adams aren’t part of the novel, even though they are mentioned, but Bran & Sam will be there!

I really liked this first installment in the series, but I have to say the beginning baffled me a bit. It starts right after a big battle to save Anna from her pack, as the dust settles down. I really wondered if I picked up the second book because I was honestly confused. I know there’s a novella published in the On The Prowl anthology which I haven’t read, and it might be about this battle. Or maybe it was referred to in one of Mercy’s books? I honestly down know. It didn’t stop me from enjoying the novel though, because Patricia Briggs gives you enough back story to figure out what happened before the story picks up.

The story line was a lot different from the Mercy novels (sorry I can’t help but compare!) and I greatly appreciated it! Mercy is the kind of girl to dive head first, to hell with the consequences, and then she needs rescue most of the time. Anna is more of a level-headed and underdog, or should I say underwolf (?), girl and she tries to play it smart. She’s not super strong physically, but she’s smart and has other talents she learns to use along the way. The beginning was a little bit slow because even though this is a spin-off series, Briggs still had a lot of elements and story to introduce, but Cry Wolf is such a quick read that you barely notice. Action-packed from about the middle of the book, you will get to the last page and wonder how it ended so quickly.

It was a delight to rediscover characters under a new light and to meet some new ones. I was used to Charles coming out as cold but there is some much turmoil underneath that calm surface! Anna also made a very strong impression and I truly can’t wait to learn more about her and her special status. I also have to mention Asil, an old-as-dirt wolf, who really caught my attention. He is a grumpy old man (not in looks though) and I loved getting an insight on what hides under that shell of his.

Cry Wolf turned out to be an amazing debut to a new series and even though I compare it a lot with the Mercy Thompson series, it really stands on its own and you don’t need to read the latter before you can pick it up. I’m gonna hurry and read Hunting Ground, the second book in the series, because Fair Game, the third book, releases very soon.

Patricia Briggs has an amazing talent when it comes to urban fantasy and I would strongly recommend you give both of her series a shot!

Daring You To Read…Moon Called by Patricia Briggs

daringyou

I am a huge fan of Patricia Briggs’ Mercy Thompson series and frequently re-read these books. Now, I’m daring you to read the first book in the series, Moon Called.

Mercy is a VW mechanic who also happens to be a walker, capable of magically shifting into a coyote. Unlike werewolves (or other were-beasties), Mercy’s transformation aren’t tied to the moon and don’t tax her so she can shift as much or as little as she likes. She lives in the Tri-States area, in a world filled with other supernaturals, including werewolves, witches, the fae and vampires. Mercy also has an unusual upbringing: she doesn’t know much about her father and she was raised by the Marrok, the leader of all the werewolves in America. Needless to say, she’s got a strong personality, some knowledge about things that go bump in the night, and she’s handy with a wrench.

Patricia Briggs has done an amazing job of creating a world with fantastic mythology, interesting characters, and compelling plotlines. Mercy and the two men (and werewolves) in her life, Adam and Samuel, are fantastic characters and it’s a lot of fun watching them negotiate their relationships. Both guys are fantastic and you can see why both men have appealed to Mercy. There are also a host of secondary characters that I love, like Jesse and Ben.

There are six books out in the series so far and each new entry is stronger than the last. Characters grow, the dangers change, but some things remain delightfully constant, like Mercy’s tendency to find trouble. Patricia Briggs isn’t afraid to put her characters through the wringer so be prepared for some emotional scenes, as well as some wonderfully choreographed action. Plus, the covers by Daniel Dos Santos are absolutely gorgeous!

And if you can’t get enough of this world, you can always check out the spin-off series, Alpha and Omega, which I like but not nearly as much as I love the Mercy books.

The blurb for Moon Called isn’t all that descriptive but here it is:

image

Mercy Thompson's life is not exactly normal. Her next-door neighbor is a werewolf. Her former boss is a gremlin. And she's fixing a VW bus for a vampire. But then, Mercy isn't exactly normal herself.

Car mechanic Mercy Thompson has always known there was something different about her, and not just the way she can make a VW engine sit up and beg. Mercy is a shapeshifter, a talent she inherited from her long-gone father. She’s never known any others of her kind. Until now.

An evil is stirring in the depths of the Columbia River—one that her father’s people may know something about. And to have any hope of surviving, Mercy and her mate, the Alpha werewolf Adam, will need their help…

Mercy never does anything the easy way. Even though she tries really hard to stay out of trouble after her previous encounters with Vampires, Witches, Faeries alike, it seems trouble is always running after her. Catching up to her. Her wedding and honeymoon with hottie and Alpha werewolf, Adam, is no exception. Something is terribly wrong with the river next to their camp site, and it seems that once again, Mercy will find herself waist deep in big, wet trouble.

I LOVE the Mercy Thompson series, and even though River Marked wasn’t as action packed as the previous ones (don’t get me wrong, there’s still plenty of action, but it’s not the element that stood out for me in this one), I really liked it! The sixth novel in this series is a call back to Mercy’s roots. Adam and her stumbled into a bunch of Native American at their camp ground and they will shed light on Mercy’s origins. She’ll learn more about their myths and legends, about walkers (or Avatar as they call ‘em) origins and her father. It was extremely interesting to be completely submerged in a entirely different culture, and witness their rituals.

As the majority of the action happens on the banks of the Columbia River, we don’t get to see much of the secondary characters, except for Adam of course. The couple is stable as rock and they will need that strength to overcome what destiny as once more thrown at them… in the form of a fae vision. Adam was specially challenged this time around, and seeing him deal with was special.

Patricia kept a fast pace, as usual, but built-up the tension with a crescendo. Even though there is a big battle, I felt like the whole purpose of this book was self-discovery. I believe it was the perfect timing of Mercy to finally get a better feel of where she came from, and I’m under the impression it will have a big impact on her in the following encounters. I’m convinced this book is a turning point in the series.

If you haven’t had the chance to pick this series, you really need to. It’s one of the best Urban Fantasy series out there. With a strong but flawed female lead, sexy powerful males, and a wide variety of amazing secondary characters, Mercy Thompson series as everything to please it’s audience!

Silver Borne by Patricia Briggs

"Mercy Thompson, car mechanic and shapeshifter, never knows what the day- or night- may bring in a world where "witches, vampires, werewolves, and shapeshifters live beside ordinary people". But she is about to learn that while some secrets are dangerous, those who seek them are plain deadly...

Mercy is smart enough to realize that when it comes to the magical fea, the less you know, the better. But you can't always get what you want. When she attempts to return a powerful fea book she previously borrowed in an act of desperation, she finds the bookstore locked up and closed down.

It seems the book contains secrets - and the fae will do just about anything to keep it out of the wrong hands. And if that doesn't take enough of Mercy's attention, her friend Samuel is struggling with his wolf side - leaving Mercy to cover for him lest his own father declare Samuel's life forfeit.

All in all, Mercy has had better days. And if she isn't careful, she may not have many more..." -Book Cover
Once again, Mercedes Thompson, coyote and Volkswagen mechanic finds herself swamped in trouble. Can't enjoy her happy moments with Adam for very long and many events are to blame.
Not everyone in the pack is happy with Mercy being part of the family and some of them will got into extreme actions to try and push her away.
Samuel falls in desperation and is having problem with his wolf, which would cost him his life if the Marrok hears of it.
Mercy finds herself in trouble once more with the fae.
And the list is still long! How can such a small woman attract so much trouble?

This installment is a great adventure full of twist and turns like only Patricia Briggs can write.

Mercy as a lot to deal with and it's great to see her trying to find her way in life. Still bothered by past psychological injuries and the pack now crowding her head, she is still more concerned by her friend's happiness than her own. She is also as resourceful as ever, and is navigating her way out of trouble as good as she can.
Samuel and Adam aren't as strong as they used to be in this book, and have to relay on Mercy to make it through, will she step up to the challenge?

Briggs supplied us with another great adventure, and I love every books in that series, if you haven't picked it up yet, you really need to. Fabulous, outstanding, breath-taking, and I could say a lot more, Mercy Thompson series is in my top favorite Urban Fantasy series!

Waiting on wednesday - Silver Borne by Patricia Briggs

Waiting on Wednesday

This meme is hosted by Breaking the Spine.

I just realised I had never posted a WoW for Silver Borne by Patricia Briggs and I am SO excited about this book! I really can't wait to get my hands on it and see what kind of trouble Mercy will get herself into this time.

Product description (from goodreads.com):

Being a mechanic is hard work. Mercy Thompson, for instance, just spent the last couple of months trying to evade the murderous queen of the local vampire seethe, and now the leader of the werewolf pack - who's maybe-more-than-just-a-friend - has asked for her help. A book of fae secrets has come to light and they're all about to find out how implacable - and dangerous - the fae can be. OK, so maybe her troubles have nothing to do with the job. But she sure could use a holiday ...
