Product Review: Prescription Glasses from Firmoo.com

I don’t review products very often, but when Firmoo reached to me to review prescription glasses I had to accept!

As I mentioned in the intro, I’ve been dreaming of a pair of prescription sunglasses for years, so the first thing I did was hit their sunglasses tab! While the selection of sunglasses was somewhat limited, I found a pair that worked perfectly for me!

As a full-time university student, I tend to spend long hours at the computer completing assignments and studying for exams. I often had back pains from sitting down so long on my old computer chair and knew that I needed a new one right away. I decided to purchase an Office Star - EC3393-EC3 - Executive High Back Eco Leather Chair.

My Thoughts:

The chair arrived within two weeks as indicated on the website and in excellent condition. There were no pieces missing and it was very easy to assemble given five step list of instructions were straightforward and simple. I did encounter one small problem with the cylinder for the chair, the chair support, where it did not work and the chair would not move up and down as it should. However, after contacting customer support and receiving immediate response, they quickly resolved the problem and sent me a brand new cylinder piece without me having to send the old piece back. I must say that I was very impressed with the high quality of customer service I received. Everything now works perfectly as it should.

The chair is exactly how I wanted it to be, durable, very comfortable and especially practical for studying and spending long hours at the computer. It does not make much noise moving around, and what I really enjoy about it most is that my back does not curve anymore since the back piece has just the right amount of padding and also has a small curve to support my lower back.

I rate this product 4.5/5 overall.

For an affordable quality chair, I believe this was definitely a great investment.

* Here is a little quick tip I discovered for those of you who wish to purchase one of your own, make sure to assemble the arm rests first before putting the whole top chair piece on of the cylinder and chair legs. It does not say that on the instructions but I personally think it works best!

Wedding jewelries

I accomplished another step in my wedding preparation last week when I got myself some pretty jewelries!

I bought them on Etsy from Sarah and my experience was amazing!

(please note that I wasn’t paid, didn’t get anything for free nor did I get a discount for this post)

I fell in love with one necklace in particular but the earrings  going with it were a bit to big for my taste and I was worried because the jewelries are silver and my mom told me I was allergic when I was younger. So I contacted Sarah. She answered me really fast and confirmed that she could create custom earrings for me and she offered that I order and try the jewelries and if I turn out to be allergic she would refund me and also offered to order white gold to do a new set for me if needed. How cool is that?

Now let me show you the goods! I joined pictures from the shop and pictures I took because my shots aren’t very good.

She has some awesome pieces for very reasonable prices and she listed a very pretty necklace today, to bad it wasn’t available the day I bought mine lol

Orglamix Organic Mineral Makeup Review & Giveaway

In the epic quest that my wedding is becoming, I am now on the look out for the perfect make-up and I think I just found what I wanted! Of course Orglamix make-up are perfect for your day-to-day use also ^^

Now, I am a very bad eye model apparently because none of the pictures I took really shows how pretty the colors are =( There is actually a lot more pigmentation in real than what the pictures show.

Don’t judge my eyebrows, I need to freshen em up lol

On the third picture, I tried using the shadows over a creamy shadow I have, hoping you can see the Orglamix products better, but It wasn’t a big success.

I’m actually really bummed that you can’t see their beautiful, sparkly colors better =(

So I went on the hunt to find pictures from Orglamix fans on facebook, They apparently are much better with make-up pictures than I am lol

Aren’t those shadows pretty? I also really like the foundation, it feels light on my skin and the coverage isn’t too heavy for me. Of course if you like heavy coverage you can simply apply more ^^

Hide-a-Cover review!

Today I am reviewing an amazing product for you!

I don’t know about you, but I’m working in an hospital on the 4 to midnight shift (which is pretty much emergency only) and it can be either crazy-as-hell or dead-boring, which is why I always have a book with me. Problem is, my boss decided to put a new rule, we aren’t aloud to read non-work-related stuff, no cross-word, no nothing. She pretty much expect us to watch our not-so-pretty, not-so-white 4 walls. My solution to this problem? Hide-a-Cover!

This new rules was introduced to keep a better image (or so she says) of the lab. So who would think I am reading a steamy romance novel when it has this cover?

Ok I haven’t tried it on the field just yet because I received it yesterday, but I’m very confident it will serve it’s purpose!

As you can see, it fit perfectly my mass market paperback novel

How does it work?

Well it pretty much looks like this without a book inside:

The “cover” is in a plastic, I’ll call it envelop for lack of a better word.

Which means you could prolly change the cover later if you are tired of that one.

The instructions are written inside the flap and it’s pretty simple!

Now I really love the whole concept, unfortunately it doesn’t work for the thicker MM books.

In the picture below, it’s a 1¼ inches thick MM book and it’s a bit too thick for the cover (I actually damaged my book to make it fit =( ).

       

Overall I really really like the concept and the product, but it has it’s limitations like everything else.

There are 2 formats currently available, Mass Market Paperback (4,95$ each) and regular Trade  Paperback (5,95$ each), and a handful of models available. Here’s a simple of what you may find:

CSN Review!

Remember in late July I posted about this opportunity? Not sure yet which bean bag I would choose?

Well I finally chose this one, for only 55$ :

Why I chose that one?

First I liked the size (32" H x 27 1/2" W x 21" D)

I like that it’s some kind of leather imitation, because with my two furballs it would’ve been full of hair all the time.

And doesn’t it look comfortable?

Now the review details!

My order was put on August 3rd and shipped on August 6th and I received it on August 13th, which is pretty fast if you keep in mind that I am Canadian!

Here’s what the package looked like:

There’s actually two layers of plastic protecting it, and it wasn’t damaged in any way.

No need to tell you there wasn’t any assembly needed, break the wrapper and Enjoy!

Perfect to play video games (lol!), read or simply lay your feet on when you sit on the couch (my personal favorite lol).

I’d also like to add that it has:

Double zippered bottom for added security

Childproof safety lock zipper pulls

 

Overall, I’m happy with my “purchase” and recommend CSN Stores products!

CSN review

Remember a while ago a post about an upcoming review of a shelf sent to me by CSN Stores?

Well here it is!

You gonna tell me, well Tynga it took quite a while! And you would be right.

I was first approached by CSN Stores on May 6th and answered them right away, I was confirmed on May 7th that they would put my order in and send me an email with a tracking number. I waited patiently but by May 30th I hadn’t receive any news so I re-contacted them to let them know, and they realized they somehow forgot to put my order in. So they finally ordered my shelf on June 1st, and I got the tracking number on June 8th. I received my shelf on June 10th, and keep in mind that I am from Canada.

Since I got my shelf by un-ordinairy means, I would say that once my order was in the shipping was pretty fast and I got a good service.

This is what my package, and what the box inside looked like.

Everything was wrapped properly, and all pieces were protected as you can see from the wrapping below.

The shelf I got is 56 inches high, so I was expecting a much bigger box and was quite impress with it’s content.

A whole bunch of small pieces easy to assemble with easy to understand instructions.

Now here’s what it looks like at the end, as you can see there are multiple shelves you can add for more shelving possibilities.

I personally chose to use only half of the shelves to fit Books (both paperback and Hardcover)and some Blu-rays and DVDs.

My boyfriend is the handyman at home so I “supervised” everything and within 25min the shelf was assembled. My bf was surprised by the great wood quality, and said he found it better then the IKEA furniture we have at home.

There are even little holes for the nails to fix the back panel to the shelf which makes things a lot easier!

This shelf is suppose to be a Media Storage unit, but I find it’s a perfectly fine small bookshelf!

So I’d like to thank CSN Stores! I am quite happy with my new shelf, and would definitely recommend purchasing from them.
