Evie finally has the normal life she’s always longed for. But she’s shocked to discover that being ordinary can be . . . kind of boring. Just when Evie starts to long for her days at the International Paranormal Containment Agency, she’s given a chance to work for them again. Desperate for a break from all the normalcy, she agrees.

But as one disastrous mission leads to another, Evie starts to wonder if she made the right choice. And when Evie’s faerie ex-boyfriend Reth appears with devastating revelations about her past, she discovers that there’s a battle brewing between the faerie courts that could throw the whole supernatural world into chaos. The prize in question? Evie herself.

So much for normal

Starting not so long after the events of Paranormalcy, Evie finally has everything she always wanted – she’s dating Lend, goes to a normal school in a normal town and even has her very own locker *gasp*, yet she’s not really happy- she misses the action her old lifestyle provided. I guess the old adage “careful what you wish for” applies here, because excitement – the paranormal kind- managed to find its way back to her. Now Evie has to juggle working at the diner, helping IPCA, dating Lend and get accepted at Georgetown to join him. Can she manage it all?

Reading Supernaturally felt like coming back home. I really have a sweet spot for this lovely series and I was happy to revisit. Kiersten has such a unique and light writing style that you can’t help but smile while reading her books. Evie is a cute girl saying *bleep* instead of cursing and has a great sense of humor,  even when the joke’s on her. Don’t be fooled though, our young heroine will get herself in a load of trouble and not everything is flowers and rainbows.

The story is very engrossing and a lot of action happens for such a short book. Jack, a new character, will bring with him a collection of colorful scenes wrapped in an annoying (if you ask Evie) package. He brought really  high energy to the story and I’m sure he will surprise you! The relationship between Evie and Lend will really evolve in this installment and I really felt sorry for them at some point.

I was taken aback by the end and I truly never saw the punch line coming. Kiersten really takes us on a special journey and I especially enjoyed the trip to the Faerie Realms. Exciting, light, yet at times dramatic and dangerous, Supernaturally is a must read for YAs and young-at-heart adults.

I’m really anxious for the third and last novel in this series, Endlessly, to be released in 2012.
