Karen’s schedule was too busy to write a fable for us, but she still wished to over a copy of her latest release, Hunt the Moon (published June 7th 2011), the fifth one in the Cassandra Palmer series =)
Cassandra Palmer recently defeated a god, which you'd think would buy a girl a little time off. But it doesn't work that way when your job description is Pythia-the world's chief clairvoyant. Cassie is busier than ever, trying to learn about her power, preparing for her upcoming coronation, and figuring out her relationship with the enigmatic sexy master vampire, Mircea.
But someone doesn't want Cassie to become Pythia, and is willing to go to any lengths to make sure the coronation ceremony never happens- including attacking her mother before Cassie is even born.

hmmm to choose a favorite character.... I would have to say I like all the bad a@# chicks like of course Cassie and Dory but I really enjoy everyone in there. They make the book.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway

Hands down my fave character is Cassie. I love a kick ass chick! Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

Cassie she has to put up with so much crap, yet keeps a kick a$$ attitude. What I really like about this series is the great support cast of characters. It really makes the books a rich read.
ReplyDeleteacm05atjuno.com
I'm going to have to go with Cassie too. Although I do love Pritkin, even though he is usually being a jerk, but I usually feel like he is just misunderstood, and I can't help but love how mysterious he is, it's totally endearing. But Cassie is my favorite because she's always flying by the seat of seat of her pants. She's always trying to save everyone else even though she can't really trust any of them.
ReplyDeleteAwwww it's a GREAT series, one of my favorite :), and I've heard this book is the best so far.
eckstein99@comcast.net
So far Cassie is my fav but got to tell her friend that married the dark elf is fantastic too. Not too sure of the men folks in this series. Am withholding judgement until I see how it plays out. Most of the time I just want to the you know what out of them both lol.
ReplyDeletescrtsbpal at yahoo dot com
Cassie is great but I love Pritkin. He's changed so much since the beginning of the series and seems to be perfect for Cassie - or at least doesn't manipulate her as much!! I also quite like the old Pythia - when Cassie ran into her in the past was a great clash! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the international giveaway!

ReplyDeletevampiremistress2010(at)gmail(dot)com
I haven't read the series but after reading that summary, it makes me want to. If I had to pick, I would say Cassie as well because anyone that can defeat a god must be pretty awesome :) I like strong women..

I haven't read the series yet but from the excerpt I would say Cassie because she seems the most like me! I take forever to learn how to do new things and I react with emotion first thing, later my brain kicks in. I also would say Karen Chance as I like her writing voice. The taste of the book makes me want to read it. Sign me up!

I'm bucking the Cassie trend here, but I adore Mircea! If Cassie tosses him aside, I'll be happy to take him.

Yeah Cassie sure does rock, but since she is holding the torch with her love fest in the comments I am also saying Dory because I appreciated her character.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite character would have to be Mircea. Although I love Cassie just as much, it seems that she has love issues regarding Mircea and Pritkin. Mircea didn't appear as much in 'Hunt the Moon' but the parts that he did appear in, I re-read a couple of times. My favorite about Mircea is that he puts up with Cassie and loves her despite all that they go through and the frustration she puts him through (although its mutual). Though seeming like the ideal man, Cassie still cares for Pritkin a lot as well (though whether that's the same 'love' she has for Mircea is unsure) and Mircea probably knows this but still doesn't forcibly separate them. He's just super awesome and sexy :D
ReplyDeleteout of this series It would be Cassie. Love this series and her other one too.
