I’m 23 years old, married to the most amazing husband in the world, and loving life taking care of my 3-legged lab and two teacup Chihuahuas. (Seriously, so cute!) while working full-time at a local church and designing crochet patterns for dog clothes on the side.

 

I grew up in one place, but have since taken 4 cross country road trips chasing jobs and dreams, and have now ended up in Kansas, where I think we’ll be for a long time!

 

I’ve always loved reading, and can almost always be found with my face in a book. I get way too excited about authors, books, characters, and plot lines – and I love sharing that enthusiasm with others!

 

I’m a total sucker for all Young Adult fiction. I can’t get enough of it! Especially anything dystopian, science fiction, or paranormal.

Tynga

I'm Cindy — but the internet has known me as Tynga since 2005.

I'm a French Canadian from Montreal, a mom of two, and a long time reader who started this blog when Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy were my entire personality. Over seventeen years and thousands of books, my shelves evolved — into Romantasy, Dark Romance, Dark Rom-Com, and anything with morally grey characters making questionable decisions.

This blog is where it all started. Seventeen years of reviews, recommendations, and a truly unreasonable TBR. Some of the older posts show their age (reviews before 2017 have simplified formatting because of past platform changes), but the love for books hasn't changed — it just got darker.

These days, my bookish life lives mostly on TikTok, where I share hauls, reviews, and book recommendations this community thrives on. I also run Tynga Publishing, a line of reading journals designed for readers who don't just read stories — they experience them. If you've ever needed somewhere to process the emotional devastation of a five-star read, that's what these journals are for.

When I'm not reading, I'm usually building something — whether that's a new journal design, a spreadsheet tracking 300+ audiobooks, or a blog revival that probably should have stayed a simple side project but became an entire weekend instead.
