ReplyDeleteThe thing I love about this series is the world-building. It's just really fascinating and has allowed her to write a number of series that expand through time. Of course, my favorite character of the past WILL is another favorite, but it isn't TMI. :)

I love how everything is connected, how something someone did or said that seemed like nothing in the first book could lead to something big in the 5th book.
ReplyDeleteI LOVED the first book in The Mortal Instruments and I've been trying to get a hold of the rest of the series. I love the chemistry between all of the characters and everything in the story is connected to something else. It just helps everything flow together so beautifully. Cassandra Clare is an AMAZING author!

ReplyDeleteWhat I like the most are the relationships. How Jace and Alec's relationship actually grew even more since the first book. And most of all Alec's relationship with Magnus.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite part was the epilogue and how it tied everything together, sewed the wounds shut, put readers at rest. And it led us into the next series. Definitely my favorite part. She also took Tessa and Jem and they were in the epilogue together and ugh, I loved it so so so much:)
