In a world shrouded in fear and lies, how can you shed light on the truth?
Sixteen-year-old Neva lives in Homeland, an isolated country separated from the rest of the world by the Protectosphere. The government insists there's nothing beyond its borders, but as Homeland's resources dwindle, people, girls mainly, have started to go missing. If there's no way out of the Protectosphere, where are they going? Suspecting the government is lying about everything, Neva and her friends stage a Dark Party in the hope of uncovering the truth and finding the freedom they dream about.

I love The Hunger Games series.
ReplyDeleteRight now I'm on the second book in Ilona Andrews Kate Daniels series. It sounds kind of like it's a little dystopian, what with all the magic and tech fluctuations. Really enjoying that series so far.
I also have a bunch of other dystopians on my TBR just waiting for me to read them. Yay!
Thanks for the giveaway!

I can't think of my favorite Dystopian at the moment, but I do really want to read Inside Out and Outside In by Maria V. Snyder. She is one of my favorite authors and these are two dystopian novels she has written most recently!

ReplyDeleteThe Hunger Games for sure. This series is my first trip into the dystopian world and I am hooked for life now. I can't wait for the movie!
ReplyDeletejaidahsmommy(at)comcast(dot)net
I remember LOVING The Giver when I read it in 7th grade... then I eventually realized there's this whole group of books like it. : ) Like Fahrenheit 451, 1984, Handmaiden's Tale... needless to say I'm so happy about the recent slew of Dystopian books hitting the market. : ) I'm especially fond of Wither & the Hunger Games series. Also, Lauren Oliver's Delirium!

While there's been a TON of awesome dystopians lately I'm going to go with the very first one I read and got me hooked to the genre: The Giver by Lois Lowry. That trilogy is one of the best ones I've read even compared to what I've read recently.

Dystopian is certainly popular lately, especially in YA. I would recommend an adult dystopian: The Third by Abel Keogh.
