HIS OBSESSION...
Sabine, Sorceress of Illusions: the evil beauty who surrenders her body, but not her heart.
HER DOWNFALL...
Rydstrom Woede: the ruthless warrior who vows to keep her at all costs.
THEY WERE NEVER SUPPOSED TO WANT EACH OTHER THIS MUCH...
With each smoldering encounter, their shared hunger only increases. If they can defeat the sinister enemy that stands between them, will Sabine make the ultimate sacrifice for her demon? Or will the proud king lay down his crown and arms to save his sorceress?
Rydstrom, the demon king without his Kingdom, has been trying to remedy this particular situation for centuries now, but just as his goal is within reach, an evil sorceress got in his way. How is he suppose to gain control of his Kingdom when he has been made prisoner – and sex slave- by the Queen of Illusions in his own lost castle? Worst, how can he deceive her when he is slowly falling for her?
Kiss of a Demon King, the sixth book in the Immortals After Dark series, was up to par with the previous books in this amazing series. Kresley Cole became one of my favorite author and I was not disappointed =) Usually each book take place one after the other, featuring a different couple each time, but this time around, the story takes place simultaneously with the previous book, Dark Desires After Dusk, featuring Cade, Rydstrom’s brother. I really like this concept because the brothers were split up during that period of time and both books together give us an amazing insight on all the events.
Miss Cole is a very talented romance writer and she always manages to raise a plethora of emotions from her readers. I found myself excited, anxious, surprised, frustrated and even blushing reading some scenes, which in my book, makes it an amazing story! The plot really manages to keep us on our toes, because chapter after chapter, you have absolutely no idea what to expect. Rydstrom & Sabine’s personalities are so different that you get a explosive mix when they are together, and the results are always very spontaneous and smoldering.
Even though I loved – or loved to hate- each character of this installment, Nix remains my favorite character in this series because she is so unique and completely nuts lol. I really hope she’ll have her own book at some point in the series because I’m sure it’d be incredible!
If you love Paranormal Romance then you must and I insist, YOU MUST, get your hands on this series because you are seriously missing out. Kresley Cole always brings interesting mix-raced couples to the table with action-packed story lines and steamy intimate scenes, a winning combination in this genre.
So, which Immortals After Dark character is your favorite? Why? Please keep your answers spoilers free^^
Hi! I love Kresley Cole Immortals after Dark series! My favorite character is Regin the Radiant and Aidan the Fierce! But I just finish Lothaire.... Mmmm Anyway they are all great, handsome, sexy and a bit damaged and freak so I like them all!
ReplyDeleteOh can't wait to meet that couple. Haven't seen much of Regin so far
DeleteIAD fan right here!
ReplyDeleteI liked this book but it kind of fell flat when compared to Dark Desires After Dusk. Cade's book is one of my favorites so I was expecting more from Rydstrom’s book.
Nice review :-)
Paranormal Haven
So far, my favorite story is Bowen's =)
DeleteWell, a good book, but not my favourite of the series. I don't really have a favourite couple though.
ReplyDeleteThis was my least favorite book in the series... mostly because I hated Sabine. My favorite character has been Malkom (in Demon from the Dark.) I love him so much!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to get to it ^^
DeleteSounds like a great series. I haven't read any of the books yet, so I'll have to look into them.
