Fan Girl Moment (not book related)

I told you yesterday I was heading to the Bell Center today to meet the Montreal Canadiens. I had a great time, but I’ll say the organization sucked. We had to pay for every activities (25$ for photos, 25$ for autographs, 10$ for video games, 5$ to visit the dressing room) and what I didn’t like is that they didn’t check for bracelet (they gave you bracelet when you paid) so some people got pictures without paying and what not. Resulting in 2 hours wasted in line without being able to see my favorite player =( My second favorite wasn’t there because he’s got flu.

Anyhow, I think it’s a real nice concept, just needs some improvements =)

Here are some of the pictures I took!

Here’s the dressing room…

They have the standings hand written in the dressing room, I thought it was cool!

Here’s a shot of the door out of the dressing room leading to the ice.

And now a couple of shots with the players.

I look like I have an extra 30 pounds on the left shot but oh well!

Mike Cammalleri is on the right, my favorite player. I could only get a shot from far away.

And last a pictures of my friend and I in the Penalty box!

  3. You know you're from Canada when... ;). That is awesome, Tynga! Sorry to hear that the organizational skills sucked, but happy to see you met some of the players. Would have been better if your two favourites were there, eh?

The Montreal Canadiens are awesome, but I'd have to say the Toronto Maple Leafs are my favourite team. :)

  4. @Corrine Thanks! Indeed it would've been better with my fav 2 but I'm hoping to meet them in the spring for the blood collect. I have to confess I don't like the leafs though =( They are too violent for me. They are doing good though so far this season! Would be nice to have all Canadian teams in the play offs this week.

  5. Tynga sounds like you had a lot of fun. Its too bad that they aren't organized better.

Plus really annoying that you have to pay for some much additional stuff. Makes you wonder what the purpose of the bracelets are for if they aren't checking them.

Hopefully they will get better organized for the next one. I really need to find out more about this as I think my son would love this.

  6. On a positive note Cindy, all the money was going to the Fondation des Canadiens pour l'enfant and Le Manoir Ronald McDonald.
