Stacking The Shelves [2] + Baby video!

STSmall_thumb[2]

Last week was the first Stacking The Shelves week and I was extremely surprised and flattered by its success! In fact, the response was so great that I decided to officially turn it into a meme, guidelines, Mr.Linky and all the Jazz! Don’t worry, I’m keeping it simple, after all it’s all about having fun :)

If you want to find out more about Stacking The Shelves, please visit the official launch page!

Guideline resume:

  • Create your own Stacking The Shelves post. You can use my official graphic or your own, but please link back to Tynga’s Reviews so more people can join the fun!

  • You can set your post any way you want, simple book list, covers, pictures, vlog, sky is the limit!

  • I am posting Stacking The Shelves on Saturdays, but feel free to post yours any day that fits you.

  • Visit Tynga’s Reviews on Saturday and add your link so others can visit you!

  • Visit other participants link to find out what they added to their shelves!

  1. Aww...your daughter is so cute. Good luck with the sleeping. Get someone to watch her even so you can just lay down for a while. It really helps!

So I have a question. This isn't an official "Stacking the Shelves" but I was wondering if it's okay to share my link? This post includes all the books I aquired in April (as well as other bookish things for the month).

ps. I got Insurgent this week too. So excited!

I wish my daughter would accept being held my someone else so I can rest, but she wants mommy at all cost

    2. Thanks! Next month maybe I will mention you since I am still looking through the links and maybe commenting too. I just don't want to do it every week any more. It is too much for me to do like that :)

Aww...I know the feeling. My daughter would scream her head off if someone was not holding her and most of the time that someone was me. Have a great week, Tynga!

  4. You got some awesome books girl! I'm a huge Gena Showalter fan and have read most of her books. I'm behind on her newest series though. I can't wait for her new YA Series, Alice in Zombieland!

Little Lily-Ann is adorable! Hope your arm heals well. I'd suggest a sling or baby carrier if you're holding her a lot around the house.

And you got some great books, all of those books by Laurell K. Hamilton are from the same series, the Anita Blake series. There are a lot of the books in the series and while I think it's best if you read in order, she does explain a lot in each book ;)

  36. First off, your little girl is so CUTE! Bless your heart in having to hold her for such a long period that it caused your arm stress. Hopefully you'll get stronger with time and holding her. :)

That is an awesome book haul you have there. I believe all of the Laurell K. Hamilton books are within the Anita Blake series. :) The Nymph King was the first Gena Showalter book I ever read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I really hope you enjoy it and your other books as well, Tynga. Happy reading!

  46. Tynga, your daughter is simply precious! To give your arms a break, you need a Maya Wrap!! My firstborn virtually lived in it!! That way, she can wear her and still have arms to do other things. I like the original one without the padding. To my knowledge, you can't buy it in Canada (unless that has changed) so I ordered mine from the US: http://www.mayawrap.com/. No, I do not have any affiliation whatsoever with the company. I'm just a happy customer :)

On to the books! I haven't yet read Laurell K. Hamilton series, but that is on my TBR pile. I really must get to Divergent, now that Insurgent is out!

I hope you get a chance to get caught up on your sleep. I had the same experience in the hospital -- I never got any sleep! It will be much better for you both now that you are home :)

I hope you have an awesome week!

And thanks for including Mister Linky!!

  54. Hi Tynga! Congrats on your baby girl, she's beautiful! I was torn on what to do to showcase the books I receive, but liked the idea of doing a news/bookhaul combination and decided to start doing The Sunday Post meme. I'd love to do them all but don't have that kind of time, LOL! I'm not sure if it'd be appropriate to link it up to yours. I may try to combine them :).

I hope you get to read Insurgent soon, I loved it and just posted a review. Last week I got Under the Never Sky on audiobook and I can't wait to start listening. You had a great book week, I hope Lily gives you a chance to enjoy them soon :).

  56. Congratulations, Momma!! :) She's so cute! Makes me want to have more... I already have too many (4).
Take care of yourself and sleep when she does! Breatfeeding gets easier, but it does drain you. The best way I saved my arm was laying on the bed with the baby. Or, a wrap around pillow thingy(forgot name) It was awesome it velcro's around your body and you lay the baby on top and no pressure on your back or arm. I used to feed mine while actually doing housework!
Get ready for sleepness nights, but it does get easier after a few months. Make sure you use a routine same wake up, nap, feed, sleep, the routine worked awesome for me, just give it time.
Thanks for hosting STS Love it!

OH, You got AWESOME books!!! :)
