Well it’s time for some cover love! Some very pretty ones showed their news colors lately so let’s take a look!
First stop is the cover of Passion, the third book in the Fallen series:
Here’s a look at the original art work by Gilraen-Ar-Feiniel
It’s pretty but I have to say I liked the previous two better.
You might also recognize this image from the same artist? *Wink*
And well this image isn’t a cover, but I wanted to share but Geez it’s pretty!
Now onto the UK cover of Forever, the last book in the Wolves of Mercy trilogy.
I have to say I like it a lot more than the US cover
Also here’s the cover of Deceived by the Others by Jess Haines, it’s the third book in the series.
I’m not crazy for it, but it’s MUCH BETTER than the second cover which was terrible. I just wish they would’ve kept the same face they used for the first cover. Shia changes face every cover…
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the cover for Passion looks like someone colored it in themselves online. I don't really like that it is colored. For some reasons the colors aren't meshing well together. They could've kept the gray cover but added some color like the rose or her body or something subtle not all of it.
ReplyDeleteAnd is it me or does she kinda look like Emma Watson? haha
I actually like the original artwork. Seems more realistic than the final cover.
That's just like Mercedes Thompson books by Patricia Briggs, Mercy's face is different for each cover.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of the Passion cover. The brown and the red isn't working for me and there was another picture by the same artist that I liked a lot more.
I definitely prefer the other covers in the Fallen series. And I agree, the UK Forever cover is much better.
ReplyDeleteAwesome covers!
ReplyDeleteI'm in awe of the Passion cover. Lauren Kate really is lucky to have such gorgeous ones for all of the series! I still have to read them though.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore all these covers!! Thank you for sharing!! I got so excited when I saw the Passion cover! hehe :)
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I loved seeing the different versions of all the covers.
