Happy weekend everyone! A quick visit to my local library this week and I added these books to my shelves, at least temporarily. Actually, I'm pretty satisfied with my local public library since it has recently come out with an app that allows you to keep track of your borrowed books and to place holds. I used to do this all online but this app makes everything simpler and easier. And honestly, they have a pretty good selection!
From the Library
The Long War by Terry Pratchett and Stephen Baxter
Doctor Who: Shada by Douglas Adams and Gareth Roberts
That's it for me this week. Don't forget to add your link below!

Thanks for hosting :)
ReplyDeleteGot to love a good local library :) Ours is pretty good - I love the online reservations and tracking too!
ReplyDeleteI love going to the library, but with e-books, I go a lot less than I ussed to. Kind of missing the old days. :)

I miss being able to spend time searching the shelves at my library. Now I reserve online and only go in and grab them once they are in.
ReplyDeleteI like the cover for Nimona. It looks like you had an interesting week. Have a wonderful weekend.

I really need to start going to the local library. lol
ReplyDeleteThe Long War looks good. I'm a fan of Doctor Who, but I have to admit, I've never read any of the books. :)
Heard a lot of good things about Nimona. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteSome of my books are from my library. They have a really good SciFi collection and are very open to suggestions of books to purchase.
ReplyDeleteI really wish our local library is like yours. I don't think anyone goes to the library here anymore other than to do some research, and you can do that online nowadays. I don't even know if there's a local library in my city, but there's one where I used to live. Great selection. YES for Doctor Who! I need to rewatch that too coz I kinda lost track after the Ponds left. :(
ReplyDeleteI've never read the books too. Hehehe.
ReplyDeleteDoctor Who! *grabby hands* :D
ReplyDeleteI have a great neighborhood library that I don't use as often as I should! Time to go back! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHaven't read anything Dr. Who before, but love the TV series. My local library isn't the best so I mostly use Overdrive to borrow Kindle books. Happy reading! :-)
ReplyDeleteAll of those books look like fun! I am a new follower via Bloglovin. Your blog is so full of great material, I look forward to reading your posts in the future. Please check out my blog when you have a chance. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love borrowing from my local library. It's so easy to keep track of everything.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Good to know there is a new Doctor Who book, I like to get those for my students in my library!
ReplyDeleteI'm a Whovian from the days of the 9th Doctor(Christopher Eccleston) and have enjoyed a few of books about later Doctors. I hope you enjoy Shada. Libraries always have a feeling of quiet discovery. I really need to start taking my son more often.
