Happy weekend everyone! I hope your weekend is starting off better than mine. I'm still stuck with mounds of snow and awful freezing rain. But on to the good stuff. I added a few new books to my shelves this week and here they are.
Purchased
The Heist by Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg
Hit List by Laurel K. Hamilton
Under the Dome, Part 1 by Stephen King
Under the Dome, Part 2 by Stephen King
Library
Bewitched, Bothered and Biscotti by Bailey Cates
——————
I purchased Paper Town on a whim because I had just heard the news that it will be made into a film. This will be my first John Green book, and I'm anxious to see what it's all about. I also made the decision to purchase Under the Dome, in anticipation to season 2 of the TV show this summer. Based on the same concept, I've heard the book and the TV show are a little bit different from one another so I'm really looking forward to making comparisons.
What did you add to your shelves this week?

Paper Town is so good! I hope you enjoy it. :) Great haul!
ReplyDeleteOooh, Hit List. I am interested to see what you think of that.
ReplyDeleteI just bought Paper Towns on audiobook. Hope it's as good as TFIOS!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any John Green books yet either! I have Paper Towns and I'm getting The Fault in Our Stars to review soon :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic looking books!
Enjoy your new books!

My STS post!
I enjoyed Paper Town, happy reading.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed Paper Towns. It was a fun teen angst quest kind of book. It didn't leave me with as many tears as some of his other stuff.
ReplyDeletePaper Towns looks so good, and Under the Dome sounds really interesting. Enjoy your books!
ReplyDeleteGreat haul of books! Love Paper Towns, one of my favorite John Green books and Under the Dome which I read long before the television show, looks much more manageable in two books rather than the huge hardcover I read! Enjoy your new books and happy reading :)
ReplyDeleteI loved Paper Towns, only second the TFioS of course. Under The Dome I thought felt completely different from the series. It's good, but you'll notice the discrepancies. Awesome haul.
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to read Under the Dome but the length has me thinking twice about it.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy your books.
Why is the link not opening until the 11th? Next Friday? Not giving us any time to visit other blogs before next Saturday's post goes up.
ReplyDeleteI loved Paper Towns! I really need to get to Under The Dome because I love the TV Show!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about that! It's alright now.
ReplyDeleteNow that Paper Towns is being made into a movie I really want to read it! Having loved TFiOS, I just bought Looking for Alaska and I can't wait to read it!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I hope I enjoy it too.
ReplyDeleteI've fallen a bit behind on the series and I found this one on sale. Maybe it's a hint that I should catch up on the series? lol
ReplyDeletePaper Towns will be my first John Green book so I'm going in with no expectations
ReplyDeleteOk. I'm glad I'm not the only one that hasn't read a John Green. I thought I might give it a try since so many people rave about his books.
ReplyDeleteI took the Hardcover out from the library one time, but I was daunted by it's size. Two paperbacks are more manageable. I'm about a quarter through part 1.
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to comparing. Already, about a quarter into part 1, everything feel different.
ReplyDeleteThe show is definitely epic. I'm glad they decided on a 2nd season. Check this out. I found it hilarious! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVNCz6DePAQ
ReplyDeleteI tried reading it in Hardcover from the library. Didn't work. I was just so heavy! I like reading from paperback better anyways and I've read about a quarter of part 1 already so I think it is more manageable. And this way, the book actually fits in my purse! lol
ReplyDeleteI have been meaning to try Under the Dome. Great choices.
ReplyDeleteI love Stephen King. I haven't read anything in a long time. This makes me want to. I hope you enjoy all your books!
ReplyDeleteMary
Most people don't seem to LOVE Paper Towns, but I haven't read it yet...I own a copy though, so hopefully soon. I really love Looking for Alaska and The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.
ReplyDeleteVery nice haul. I used to read a lot of Stephen King but then I started having bad dreams, so no more! I want to read some of John Green's stuff. Have heard great things, except I know they make you cry, soooo..... Enjoy your books! My STS
ReplyDeleteStephanie, I have never read a John Green book either. I do have FIOS in in my too be read pile. Stephen King has a lot of good books. Enjoy your new books.
ReplyDeleteGrace
The Heist and Paper Towns are both on my tbr. I hope you enjoy all your books!
ReplyDeleteYou can't go wrong with John Green and Paper Towns was my first read by him too! I think The Fault in Our Stars is my favorite one of his. Bewitched, Bothered, and Biscotti looks really cute; I hadn't heard of that series before. Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteGreat book haul this week. I have yet to read a Stephen King novel, but I do love his movies.
ReplyDeleteCan't go wrong with any of John Green's. Happy reading ;-)
ReplyDeleteOoh, I really need to get a copy of Paper Towns, I've heard some pretty good things about it!
ReplyDeleteI'm Stacking My Shelves with books you might not have heard of...
Sweet I got Paper Towns too!
ReplyDeleteI have to read some John Green. :)
ReplyDeletePaper Towns is amazing, but it has nothing on the other JG books so I would start with those if I were you. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Under The Dome could be bought in two parts! That's kind of easier then lugging around the huge book like I have!
ReplyDeleteI recently finished Paper Towns...and Love Stephen King! Happy reading :)
ReplyDeleteHere is my stack!
I loved the Laurell K. Hamilton and Bailey Cates books, hope you do too.
ReplyDeleteGreat new books. I still haven't read a John Green book. I need to soon!
